Our Covenant of Fellowship

By the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit, we do covenant together to:

  1. Demonstrate the love of Christ to one another. (John 13:34,35; 1 John 4:7)

  2. Be accountable to others for my growth in Christ and be an encouragement to others to grow in Christ. (Hebrews 3:13; 10:24,25)

  3. Pray with and for one another in the local church and for all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, thereby sharing our burdens, sorrows and joys. (Romans 12:15; Eph. 6:18)

  4. Be thoughtful of and courteous to one another, be slow to take offense and be quick to forgive and to seek forgiveness. (Ephesians 4:29-32; James 1:19)

  5. Be faithful in the use of my spiritual gifts to minister in at least one ministry in our fellowship. (Philippians 4:3: 1 Peter 4:10)

  6. Contribute, as the Lord enables, to the financial support of the church, the relief of the needy and the evangelization of all people. (1 Corinthians 16:2; 9:3-18; 2 Corinthians 8:1-5; 9:6-8)

  7. Engage regularly in personal Bible reading and prayer, and establish family devotions where possible. (Psalms 1:1-3, 1 Thessalonians 5:17)

  8. Bring up my children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. (Deuteronomy 6:6,7; Ephesians 6:4)

  9. Live my life in honesty and faithfulness before all men so that the name of Christ will be well spoken of as a result of my testimony. (Romans 12:17; 1 Thessalonians 4:11,12; Titus 2:10-12)

  10. Endeavor by example, by word and by prayer to win others to an acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. (Matthew 28:19,20; Acts 1:8)

  11. Participate in the worship services consistently. (Acts 2:42; Hebrews 10:24,25)

  12. Be in submission to the spiritual leadership of the fellowship. (Hebrews 13:17: 1 Thessalonians 5:12-14)

  13. All members shall seek to resolve personal disputes with other believers through Christian mediation according to the principles of Matthew 18:15-20 and 1 Corinthians 6:1-11.

Hebrews 10:23-25

"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the day drawing near."
